2024 年，仙到不行的 Julia Holter 推出她的第六張專輯，這次，她的專輯《Something in the Room She Moves》不再那麼抽象，敘事圍繞著一個具體的對象。她形容：”My heart Is loud”。

Julia Holter 最新專輯《Something In The Room She Moves》將於三月發行，這也是她睽違將近六年的個人新作，目前公開的溫暖新曲〈Sun Girl〉由長笛、Yamaha CS-60 合成器、風笛、鼓和無琴格貝斯等... 樂器交織而成，歌詞「Place me, drag me, move me, Sun Girl」就像是 Julia Holter 喚起了自己童心未泯的玩樂氣質，同時也代表了新作中他將跨出舒適圈，進入未知、嬉戲與混沌的新世界。
“My heart is loud,” Julia Holter sings on her sixth album Something in the Room She Moves, following an inner pulse. The Los Angeles songwriter past work has often explored memory and dreamlike future, but her latest album resides more in presence: “There a corporeal focus, inspired by the complexity and transformability of our bodies,” Holter says. Her production choices and arrangements form a continuum of fretless electric bass pitches in counterpoint with gliding vocal melodies, while glissing Yamaha CS-60 lines entwine warm winds and reeds. “I was trying to create a world that fluid-sounding, waterlike, evoking the body internal sound world,” Holter says of her flowing harmonic universe.
“What is delicious and what is omniscient?” she sings on “Spinning”, the album incantatory centerpiece. “What is the circular magic Im visiting?” Or as Holter put it: “Its about being in the passionate state of making something: being in that moment, and what is that moment?” She found it anew on Something in the Room She Moves, singing in somatic frequencies.
